About Somerset Music Conference

The Somerset Music Conference will be held on Friday 14^th October at Dillington House, near Ilminster.

This year we are combining our Primary and Secondary events into one Conference to cater for all key stages and give the opportunity to network across the school phases.

We are very excited that our keynote speaker for the conference is Mark De-Lisser, Mark De-Lisser is one of the most respected & sought after choral directors & vocal coaches in the UK. Mark was a lecturer at The Brit School of Performing Arts, Academy of Contemporary Music & Westminster University before moving on to focus on TV vocal coaching, working on the various shows including: Our Dementia Choir with Vicky McClure (BBC1), The Masked Singer (ITV) and The Voice (BBC1). Mark is also a presenter on Songs of Praise and Children in Need.  In addition to Mark’s vocal coaching and presenting roles, he is the founder of Singology (the ever-growing London based community choir brand established in 2004 who featured as the first ever community choir to sing for the Queen’s Christmas speech in 2021) and arranger of the infamous Stand By Me arrangement performed by the Kingdom Choir at Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s wedding 2018.

In addition to the key note there are a variety of workshops for you to choose from.

The cost for the conference is £70 early bird (by 30^th June) then £80 regular price after this date.
