English Schools’ Orchestra 2025 – Applications Open!

Applications are now open for the 2025 English Schools’ Orchestra course which will take place during October Half Term.

The English Schools’ Orchestra provides young orchestral musicians aged 13-18 and of grade 8+ standard with the opportunity to meet and perform with peers from across the country. Our courses offer a unique blend of intensive rehearsals, professional coaching, and a final concert at a prestigious venue. This year, we are thrilled to have Lewis Gaston returning as our conductor, leading the orchestra through an inspiring repertoire that includes Mahler’s Symphony No. 1, Vasks’s Credo, and Humperdinck’s Overture to Hansel and Gretel with our final concert being at Cadogan Hall in London.

Our 2025 course will be held at Woldingham School in Surrey, which boasts excellent music facilities, top-quality boarding accommodation, and delicious catering. This new venue will provide an ideal environment for our young musicians to develop their skills and enjoy a memorable musical and social experience.
