We’re excited to introduce Charanga’s new Scheme option – a fresh, creative music curriculum built directly from your feedback. It’s just as ambitious as our other Schemes, but it’s simpler and has lots of variety. Get ready for some fun, real-world music-making experiences that will empower you to teach music confidently and inspire your students.
Inspirational lessons, your way
Every unit offers flexibility to match your teaching style and timetable constraints.
● New: Early Years content adaptable for 30-minute lessons or shorter sessions, fully aligned with the English EYFS Framework and Development Matters.
● For Years 1–6: Core 30 to 45-minute lessons following the English National and Model Music Curricula, with pathways for deeper musical exploration and discovery.
Distinctive Units with Built-In Flexibility
We’ve designed each six-week unit to be distinctive while providing consistent, user-friendly
support:
● Two clear, targeted learning objectives per unit for focused teaching.
● Concise Teacher Guides with structured overviews.
● Mapped assessment using Key Learning and ‘I Can Statements’.
● Cross-curricular opportunities to broaden learning.
● Extension suggestions for teachers interested in exploring related resources from across the
Charanga platform.
